This document contains all versions of the Drey Health & Medical Disclaimer for use in different contexts. Each version is tailored to its placement (onboarding, App Store, in-app settings, interaction rules display) while maintaining consistent legal coverage.
1. In-App Onboarding Disclaimer
Displayed during the onboarding flow. The user must acknowledge this disclaimer before proceeding. The "I Understand" button is not enabled until the full text has been visible for at least 3 seconds.
Important: Drey Is Not Medical Advice
Drey is a scheduling and organization tool. It helps you plan your day, set reminders for medications and supplements, and track your routines.
Drey does not:
- Diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition
- Provide personalized medical advice
- Verify that your medication or supplement entries are correct
- Replace your doctor, pharmacist, or any healthcare professional
About medication and supplement interaction guidelines:
Drey shows general information about how certain supplements and medications may interact (for example, "take iron on an empty stomach" or "space iron and zinc apart"). This information comes from publicly available nutritional and pharmacological references. It is not personalized to your health situation and may not account for all of your medications, conditions, or individual physiology.
Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting, stopping, or changing any medication or supplement. If you experience any adverse effects, contact your healthcare provider or call 911 immediately.
About reminders:
Drey's medication reminders work like an alarm clock — they remind you at times you set. Technology can fail. Do not rely solely on Drey for critical medication reminders. Use additional reminder methods for essential medications.
By tapping "I Understand," you acknowledge that Drey is a scheduling tool and not a source of medical advice.

What Drey Is
Drey is a personal scheduling and organization application designed to help adults with ADHD manage their daily routines. Drey provides:
- Daily schedule generation based on times and commitments you enter
- Medication and supplement timing reminders based on schedules you set
- General information about supplement and medication interactions for scheduling purposes
- Mood and energy tracking (user-entered, displayed as personal trends)
- Task management and daily structure tools
What Drey Is Not
Drey is not a medical device as defined by Health Canada's Medical Devices Regulations (SOR/98-282), the U.S. FDA's device classification system, or the EU Medical Device Regulation (EU 2017/745). Drey has not been reviewed, cleared, or approved by Health Canada, the FDA, or any other health regulatory authority.
Drey does not:
- Diagnose any medical or mental health condition
- Treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition
- Provide personalized medical advice or clinical recommendations
- Screen for depression, anxiety, ADHD, or any other disorder
- Verify the accuracy of medication or supplement information you enter
- Connect to drug databases, pharmacy systems, or electronic health records
- Interpret mood or energy tracking data as a clinical assessment
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, or mental health treatment
- Monitor your vital signs, biometrics, or physiological data (except through optional Apple HealthKit read access, if you enable it in the future)
About Interaction Guidelines
Drey displays general guidelines about how certain medications and supplements may interact, including timing suggestions (e.g., "iron and zinc compete for absorption — consider spacing them apart" or "take iron on an empty stomach for better absorption"). These guidelines:
- Are sourced from publicly available pharmacological and nutritional reference materials
- Are general information, not personalized to your specific health situation
- May be incomplete and may not reflect all possible interactions
- Do not account for your individual medical conditions, allergies, genetics, kidney function, liver function, or other health factors
- Do not account for prescription drug interactions (the rules focus primarily on supplements and over-the-counter products)
- Are not validated or endorsed by Health Canada, the FDA, or any regulatory body
- Should never be the sole basis for any health decision
Always consult your physician, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare provider before making any changes to your medication or supplement regimen. Your healthcare provider has access to your complete medical history and can provide advice tailored to your specific situation.
About Medication Reminders
Drey provides timing reminders for medications and supplements based on times you enter. These reminders function like alarm clocks. They are subject to the limitations of technology, including but not limited to: notification delivery failures, device settings that suppress notifications (Do Not Disturb, Focus modes), device power-off, app crashes, iOS updates, and software bugs.
Do not rely solely on Drey for time-critical or life-sustaining medication reminders. We strongly recommend using multiple reminder systems for essential medications.
We are not liable for missed or delayed reminders, regardless of the cause.
About Mood and Energy Tracking
Drey allows you to record your mood and energy levels on a simple numerical scale and to check boxes for common symptoms. This data is stored on your device and displayed back to you as personal trends and patterns.
This feature is a personal logging tool, comparable to a paper journal. Drey does not:
- Analyze your mood data for clinical patterns
- Screen for depressive episodes, manic episodes, or any mood disorder
- Generate alerts based on mood data
- Share mood data with any healthcare provider (unless you manually choose to export and share it)
- Provide any clinical interpretation of your self-reported data
If you are concerned about your mental health or notice troubling patterns in your mood, please consult a qualified mental health professional.
About Crisis Resources
Drey includes a button that displays publicly available crisis helpline phone numbers, such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and Crisis Text Line. Drey:
- Does not provide crisis intervention, crisis counseling, or suicide prevention services
- Does not detect or monitor whether you are in crisis
- Does not guarantee the availability, response time, or quality of any third-party crisis service
- Cannot ensure that you will reach help if you use the crisis resource links
If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately. Do not rely on in-app crisis links as your sole means of accessing emergency help.
About Bad Day Mode
Drey's "Bad Day Mode" is a scheduling feature that simplifies your daily schedule to essential tasks (medications, food, water) when you indicate you are having a difficult day. This is not a clinical intervention, therapeutic tool, or substitute for professional mental health support. It is a schedule adjustment feature.
Minors
Drey is designed for adults. Minors (under 18) should use Drey only with the knowledge and involvement of a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians should review the medication and supplement information entered and ensure its accuracy. Drey is not designed for and should not be used as the sole medication management tool for a minor.

You assume all risk associated with health decisions you make while using or after using Drey. The complete limitation of liability is set out in our Terms of Service.
Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- The accuracy of the medication and supplement information you enter

- Using multiple methods to ensure you take critical medications on time
- Seeking professional help for mental health concerns

Regulatory Classification
Drey is classified as a general wellness and scheduling application. It falls within the scope of products described by Health Canada's guidance on software as a medical device (SaMD) that are excluded from regulation as medical devices because they:
- Do not acquire, process, or analyze medical images or signals
- Do not provide specific diagnosis, treatment, or prevention recommendations
- Do not interface with medical devices
- Provide general wellness information and scheduling assistance only
This classification is also consistent with the FDA's guidance on "General Wellness: Policy for Low Risk Devices" (September 2019) and the EU's MDCG 2019-11 guidance on qualification of software.
